FOCUS AREA | SAFETY

Speed limits, designated pedestrian areas, and lighting all contribute to keeping the community safe. As Lake Poinsett continues to grow and expand, we want to examine the safety measures we have in place today and consider where they may need to improve or expand. Traffic congestion, speeding cars or boats, vehicles that are not licensed for highway use, poor lighting, and lack of appropriate parking spaces are just a few examples of safety concerns around lakes.

The Management Plan will identify problems like these and suggest solutions to improve safety at Lake Poinsett.

We need to hear from you! Please take some time to complete the survey and share your thoughts on important issues that will shape Lake Poinsett’s future.
