Whether you’re into reeling in a legendary catch, biking nature trails, or acing a shot on the disc golf course, Lake Poinsett has you covered. The recreational opportunities in and around Lake Poinsett are abundant. With six public access boat ramps and multiple other private boat ramps, the lake activities are among the most popular for residents and visitors alike. 

Of course, the public parks surrounding the lake provide a wide variety of other options: camping, hiking, beach areas, playgrounds, a golf course, and other recreational sports. Many of the public recreation areas also have amenities such as showers, day use areas, camp sites, and restrooms.

Parks and recreational areas are vital to our community, and they play a role in our economy by attracting tourists and visitors. The Lake Poinsett Management Plan will explore opportunities to add, modify, and/or enhance recreation activities and areas, all based on feedback from residents and stakeholders.
